“Wow” Factor.
Sorry for the lack of communication lately, guys. My head exploded last week and I’ve been groggily trying to duct tape it all back into some vague semblance of a human skull ever since. I had to use a marshmallow for one eye (long story).
Advice: If your night terrors ever get so out of control that you’re forced to see a brain doctor, try to schedule the most blinding, searing, stomach-churning-up-into-the-sinuses migraine of your life for the same day. Just, y’know, to give the neurologist that little extra “WOW” factor.
But anyway. I think I’m coming out of it now. (Just a little snowed-out from the meds.) Did I miss anything interesting while I was dead?
I would recommend not turning on the news until your head feels a bit better- the latest in the presidential election is giving everyone a migraine, no sense in making yours worse.
Ugh, I hate elections. On the plus side, the LHC hasn’t destroyed us all.
Yet.
Are they just night terrors or do you have dreams with them too?
Disturbing or not, nightmares always make for great writing material.
That really sucks, Aaron. I’m sorry to hear that things are so rough for you. D: Do whatever you need to do to get yourself back up to speed. If you miss a couple blog posts because you’re taping a marshmallow to your optical nerve, I really don’t think anyone’s going to kick your ass. <3
can you reply to my email plz i need that comission by next mouth
wooooooooow, daniel. way to show some compassion there. <.<;
I hope everything gets better for you, I’ve had night terrors in the past…
they can really take a toll on you life.. -_-
relax (as much as possible) and get well for us blood-sucking fans!
Hurricane Ike hit Galveston, and Houston…and Dallas…and St. Louis…and Chicago…and Detroit…and Toronto…
Michael George, a.k.a. The Comic Book Killer, is getting a new trial. How this guy never read a page of Jhonen for pointers is ponderous. Then again, the murder he is convicted of supposedly, occured in 1990.
Furries destroy Galveston.
And there is a Max Payne movie coming out with a plot that really does not follow the Max Payne storyline. Aparently, no told the director that the places and things in the video game were the NAMES of Norse folk legends. So this fall, you will see Mark Wahlberg become a modern day viking/cop. (Hmm…Viking-Cop sounds like a Highlander spin-off.)
Dude…sorry to hear about that, and you brain exploding. Hope all gets better. If not, I’ll break out thesurgical equipment and fix your brain. 🙂
Nothing new, except for elections and crap(not voting anytime soon…:P).
everybody seems to be forgetting the almost end of the world…I hate to give away the ending but…there was no black hole
Thanks for the support, everybody! I’m going to go ahead and blame my brain troubles on some unholy interaction between Sarah Palin and the LHC. I mean, just trying to think about both of those things at the same time is bound to blow a few circuits.
But anyway, I seem to (fingers very crossed) be coming to the end of the “tests and proddings and radiation exposure” stage of my treatment. All that’s left is waiting for final test results (ugh) and slowly, slooooowwwwllllyyy getting my skull adjusted to this strange, foggy-making seizure medication the doctor gave me.
Curious: As far as I know, night terrors are dreams. Just really vivid ones. The real problem is that, unlike normal people, my body doesn’t always fully paralyze itself while dreaming. So I go flailing around like a psychopath every now and again. It’s pretty awesome.
Daniel: Thanks for reminding me. I’ve actually got a few commission requests that have gone unanswered… Sorry about that. I’ll get back to you right quick (in fact, I just did).
Squeek: Thank you for the defense, fellow dream-sufferer!
Bushido: That Max Payne thing is kind of confusing me… Is it a gangster action movie or some kind of trippy Constantine angels-n-demonny thing? No one in the trailer seems to be acknowledging the huge monsters all over the place…
*danceing*
Hey~
I’ve been a fan of the site for awhile, but have never commented on your messages before.
I was shocked to read your entry because I have suffered from similar migraines and night terrors! Part of what’s so horrible for me is during some of my headaches I can temporarily lose vision in the center of my eyes. When I was in jr high I went to see a neurologist, but they told me that it’s actually pretty common to lose some sight during huge migraines because of nerve stimulation, or something.
I’m really curious about what sort of night terrors you have, and if they’re anything like the ones I get. (It would be way too long to explain mine on your message board) 🙂
Shoot me an email if you feel like it,
Laine
I thought the Max Payne trailer looked great. Was a bit surprised to see the winged thing though. Never played the game, but no one ever said there’d be supernatural stuff in it. Perhaps they were inspired by Condemned: Criminal Origins? I played that game! 😀
