Always loved how you did Sera’s facial expressions. Looks like she’s really gonna be a tough one to crack, that Tess.

Man, look at all the people just taking photos of her in the last panel while she’s clearly in emotional conflict. That’s just cold.

Of course, maybe not as cold as it is in that circle.

I feel very much like Tess here.

It’s easier to apologize than to forgive.

A friend moved to another country in a short word a didn’t say goodbye or anything. And made recently connact with me after a few months.

    In short words: Fuck him!!!

It wouldn’t be like Tess to make it easy for her.
I love how at the mention of making a heat bubble, people start whipping out their cameras. I make heat bubbles sometimes, but when I do it, people shout “DUDE!” and run out of the room gagging πŸ˜‰

Psh, 18 degrees. I’d be in that circle makin’ snow angels while wearing a bathing suit. Now THAT would be camera phone worthy!

in Tess’ defense…. at least she’s *listening*. she wouldn’t be Tess if she made things *easy*, but at least she’s not making it particularly *hard*, which is pretty good for her. she must *really* miss Sera πŸ˜‰

and… 11 am? i guess Charles’ watch is a little off after all πŸ˜‰

& “meetoo” on the facial expressions in those middle six panel. those have got to be some of the best i’ve ever seen.

(and the cameraphone gawkers…. it may be sick, but it adds *huge* points for versimilitude!)

18 degrees Fahrenheit not Celsius. Wouldn’t parts start to fall off if you were in a bathing suit?
Pure torture waiting each week for the next page.

I think that, actually, the photo-taking people is a masterful touch.

Of course it’s cold and downright offensive, and if I was someone in that position I’d likely go into a rampage, but it just shows the way things are.
You see, a key point in SeraΒ΄s personality and outlook of the world is that she’s alone and isolated. Each magic-related incident she stars in makes the point that she can’t relate to regular people as equals, neither can regular people fully understand the burden of witchhood. Basically, Sera lives in a world, the rest of the world in another, and no part has nothing to do with each other. That’s why the flashes keep going on- to people, Sera is just a part of the landscape, her grief ain’t something they can relate to.

    As for Tess…

Both girls here have a point. Tess couldn’t expect much love after yelling at her like she did for not whoring her talents and seeming more worried about money than her. On the other hand, long-standing friends deserve better than just going away, out of contact, without as much as a “see ya”.

None of them has behaved in a quite proper way, but Sera already had her tun to jump at Tess’ throat in the first encounter. It’s only fair Tess gets her.

I never thought that Wednesday would be a day that I would look forward to on a weekly basis. Now it seems to take forever for Wednesday to get here.

I wanna have a heat bubble ): It’s friggin’ cold here.

p.s. someone needs to get that stick out of Tess’ ass before it causes major damage.

It is not nice to attack people with cameraphones.

Cameras and phones are scary alone. Bring them both together and you have armageddon

If you refer to a linear sum of a constant-scale non-negative inter powers of a variable, then camera phones are spooky.

    Veeery spooky.

    O_o

For a really sobering but ultimately inspiring example of Jade’s and Maru-Chan’s point, I highly recommend the movie BenX, described furthur in the “movie” section of the forum under “last movie you saw”. It’s also in the FilmMovement series, http://www.filmmovement.com. be warned, it’s in Flemish with (gasp!) subtitles, but highly worth it.
