Gargoyle-esque! Those look like hair ribbons to me, the figure is facing right… I think…
As for who it might be? I have no clue… did one of Sera’s ecto-pets follow her out of the cave? That would be cool!
Oooh, I had assumed that the first few word bubbles were Sera, and that the last ‘She What?’ was coming from Zoe after Sera told her what happened, but that would require a lapse of time and now, yeah, it’s definitely Sera responding to something.
Ooo! It’s really hitting the fan now…
WHO is standing (gargoyle like) on top of the tower in panel 1?
(Thanks @Amanada V!)
Yes Sera, it’s a the law! You have to marry… ME! 🙂
Maddy blew town, we knew she was going to from the start. Poor Sera waiting for her the next evening, and Maddy never had any intention of keeping their date… meeting! I mean meeting…
As for the “she” in the last panel: It’s probably Maddy, but could be VW, or even Tess…
Like I said, it’s REALLY hitting the fan…
Oh man, I had a suspicion about that text, so I went through the archives to check. I’m pretty sure it isn’t a new message, it’s the one Sera got from Maddy on page 51, back when she asked her on a date. Poor Sera’s sitting all alone, brooding over the text that made her think she might actually have a shot at happiness. Damn.
It’s really amazing: Since BYSH started there’s less than 100 pages, but so much has happened! It’s like AA packs every page & panel with yummy, plot-developing goodness!
You know, there are songs where you hear the lyrics, then you find out you heard them all wrong and it make so much more sense. Then there are songs where you hear the lyrics, then think “Shit, that can’t be right, this makes no sense.” But those ARE the lyrics.
“Living Dead Girl” is firmly in the latter category.
Maybe the person on the tower is a “cemetery thing” with “defunct strings.” (I know, bad joke!)
Oh yeah, the words are VERY clear, Mr. Zombie has quite good diction. But his songs read like random snippets from horror movies. I like it, but he’s not wining any Poetry of the Ages awards 😉
Then again, I’d be delighted if school children where taught song lyrics along with Shakespeare and Poe. Wonder how they’d interpret “Teardrop” by Massive Attack.
… A flashback?
I don’t think it’s a flashback, I think she left and went back to the cafe or whatevs.
In other news, HAH her ringtone is Living Dead Girl. :3
Who/what is the Cthulhu-looking figure on top of the tower above Sera?
Oooo Thats a vary good question. didn’t see them at first…
Gargoyle-esque! Those look like hair ribbons to me, the figure is facing right… I think…

I wondered the very same thing. heck, i’m *still* wondering… (¬.¬;)
Ooooo story is still keeping a grip on me. And are we up to full page updates two times a week now?
Nope! Sorry. Just this week. It didn’t make any sense to cut these two in half.
Who is “she” and what did she do???
I’d imagine that ‘She’ is ‘Maddy’ and she just left Sera an emotional wreck.
Sera is talking to Zoe. What would Maddy have done that Zoe knows about but Sera does not?

I think it was Tess, actually.
I wonder if something has happened to Vicious… be a helluva plot twist.

Nice catch! I suspected it was the old text: idk why Maddy would text Sera after what happened.
Poor Sera, waiting there, hoping against all odds Maddy will show up… :sniff: UUWWAAA! :tears:
Perhaps that’s Maddy standing on the roof? Naw…
Whatever is standing on top of the tower?
It’s not there on page 53: http://www.heartshapedskull.com/2012/09/25/break-your-stupid-heart-page-053/
Very mysterious…

Rob Zombie’s Living Dead Girl?
Like a hunchback juice on a sentimental… NOOSE.
You know, there are songs where you hear the lyrics, then you find out you heard them all wrong and it make so much more sense. Then there are songs where you hear the lyrics, then think “Shit, that can’t be right, this makes no sense.” But those ARE the lyrics.

Pfft. Come on, man. All Mr. Zombie is saying is Donna Reed eats dollar… BILLS. Couldn’t be clearer!
“Of an SS Whore
Making scary sounds”
I mean… WHO can argue with THAT?
Now: Are you going to tell us what’s on top of the tower @essrose? Or do we need to “get rough”? Hummm?
(Personally? I think “Dragula” is in the top 100 of All Time!)
(And I’m VERY particular!)
Oh yeah, the words are VERY clear, Mr. Zombie has quite good diction. But his songs read like random snippets from horror movies. I like it, but he’s not wining any Poetry of the Ages awards 😉
