My god…. this was the single most uplifting thing i’ve read in the past… i don’t know how many years! Just…. thank you! Really, i mean that with every fiber of my being. I have loved your comic since i started reading it, and in a comic with many dark tones, i just found a light like no other. I’m excited for pages to come, and i may quote this in the future if you don’t mind.
I know these came out in the early 2000s, but as I’m reading these pages in 2024, I’m finding a lot of these very relatable as a mid-20 something. (And by the comments-some as recent as 2020, also relatable to other people in a similar point in their lives.)
I haven’t read the whole comic series yet, so maybe I’ll get an answer to this musing: How much of this comic, and this specific speech, can be applied to the present day? And which of these sentiments (sans the obvious 2000’s slurs lol) have fallen to the wayside and are no longer relevant? Inquisiting minds would love to know….
