Sera in panel 2 = badass. I like how it moves instantly from that to talking about Superbad. :p
Also, I really love the panel structure. It flows so well — that is, following the story, it has twists and turns, sometimes stretching out, sometimes crunching up. It works fantastically well.

Believe she was referring to the Maddie ecto-creature. But amazing page in itself. Loving the badass serenity immediatly being herself by mentioning superbad, its just so her.
Plus the lockets stilletta had flying off is just part of the little things that make this story just that extra bit brilliant, raising it above the par, through the roof and to the moon itself 😉
But now this is a cool page, and I like how it’s shares a similarity with the second issue of Working through the Negativity, with Sera’s expression and the ‘Oh, come on..’
cryptic accusation followed by nasty ritual-style suicide….. now *that’s* EVIL. She *definately* had to die for *that*. Except, well, you know.
NOW we get to see what mr. Valentine considers a satisfying end……

@Erin F Well, there was a huge fight between them in public, plus a well known SSI guy who saw the fight start and know Stiletta began it, I think Self Defense comes into play in a sitcheeashun like this.

Stiletta Has Issues.
Well, “had” maybe. Not sure how much I trust her to be dead at any moment though. My BF and I were talking about all of the things Aaron’s witches could/couldn’t do, and a lot of things lead to a dead end because we don’t know if there are souls in this universe or not, and if there are, how do they work.
If there are no souls a witch could probably very easily feign death for as long as they wanted. I bet that guy wasn’t lying when he said some witches have it so they can’t even die. Stiletta just has to look dead, get herself a cozy grave and chill ’till she’s ready to strike again.
Even if there are souls, depending on how they work, a witch might be able to cram his/herself into her little finger and as long as that survives, so do they.
I hate not being in Aaron’s mind so I can properly sort all this out, lol
@Erin F: Fortunately, Merrick met Valentine all up-close and personal-like, & heard the whole story, AND seems likely to survive…. that’ll hopefully make Sera’s case simpler!

@alphatroll, I know, thats the problem. The only monster I could think of was the maddie creation, but like you said it isn’t normally that simple.
Which either means its an ingenius double bluff or we’re just too deep in the pool to notice the fin.
