I dont know if you’ve realized it or not, Sphyrna Lewini but the “cold statue” guy is Valentine…the markings around his eyes give it away. Also when Sera said “You would let her destroy your….” she was about to say town….
Aaron….i tend to have a high tolerance for this kind of stuff…but I really cant watch Sera get thrashed much longer…its giving me a sick feeling in my stomach.
This is harrowing. ;;______;; Hoping, of course, that it’s going to shape up into a great symbolic victory, Sera throwing off the little chibi-emo-teenager-Sera-monsters that are (literally) eating her alive, but … her arm looks bent in a weird way, and Stiletta’s still got those big knives, and anyway it’s no consolation to the families of those people that are now spellcast emo-Sera-monsters.
last time this happened Sera had to intervene to save a bunch of *other* people….
who’s gonna intervene now?
And while Skrapyard’s conjectures are certainly plausible, they almost seem too obvious to be *exactly* true (at least by Aaronesque-plot-twist standards). Valentine *might* be Charles, or maybe they’re just connected in some other way, but even if he is, there’s probably some odd detail that throws a wrench in the works….
& it just occurred to me…. we’re right outside Betties now, where Tess, with her low tolerance for annoying stuff and (now) *three* limbs of DOOM, is working (and Kelton likely hanging out)….

Gotta agree with whoever brought up the point that Tess is nearby and well armed with the doom. Not sure if she can really do much to help Sera in this situation, but I find it to be a bit too convenient that they are right back in the middle of town where this whole downward spiral began. Tess putting herself into harm’s way just may be enough motivation for Sera to switch gears.
