Hyup, guess it was time for another flashback with a new interesting perspective. I do believe that could be very well Tess with some seriously butchered, yet punk inspired hair. Possibly shaved sides of her head and back of her head and doing the classic quaff tuft. Guess we’ll find out Thursday.
Finally, you show us what happened on this day. I hoped you would show us this confrontation. I re-read the first book and realized that the SSI did this because of the bus incident. I know from reading this story so far that they went really far in trying to take her down but while she did beat them back somehow she relented to them?
-‘flashback would seem to be a natural assumption….. but aren’t they normally greyish with softer borders?
-and assuming it is, maybe they got in by *following* Tess or something….’
It’s a flashback, based on the dialogue being the exact same as at the start of the issue, with the cutting off, and the radio static, and the ‘big-badda-boom!’ Also the clock is on the same exact time.
I also think that they wouldn’t need to follow Tess to Sara’s. SSI’s nature as an intelligence agency, and the infamy of Sera would make it hard to keep the location of your home a secret.
Not to mention, they came in crashing through the windows of her room (and eventually back out the front door), dispelling any sort of blackmail, or secretive operation theories.
But as to Tess’ presence there, one can only wonder…
I really like Mr. A’s onomatopoeia though. It really conveys the action, while keeping it fresh, without the boastfulness of ‘Snikt’ or ‘Bamf!’ (Although there is that one allusion in Vol. 1, issue 3)
Aha, i didn’t notice the identical dialogue etc. I wonder why her flashback would be clearer than normal now? Maybe she’s actually thinking about it *intentionally* or something, rather than being invaded by unwanted vague memories as usual….
And as for following Tess, I’m just thinkin’ it may’ve been the easiest way past any security there might’ve been. Everyone in Crestfallen knows where Sera lives, of course. Or maybe they just met her along the way & stuck her behind a tree to keep her out of the way or something.
Hey now… is that a scared, bad-haired little Tess I spy? :O
I love the sound effect. A door exploding upon the flinging of an SSI guy by a giant ectoplasmic fist = “choom!” Indeed!

Wow, how will this flashback scene influence Sara’s decision on what to do?
And will we perhaps find out how Merrick got his burns.
I can’t wait till Thursday, but I guess my inability to control time means I have to.
Wonder if this meens Tess betrayed Sera the first time around?
Ooh flashback. Keep up the good work, Aaron!
Such a dramatic turn of events the first time around, utterly awesome to see it from another perspective.
Who’s the white-haired dude? Why Tess, WHY?!
Also, another great view of the mansion too, I will be updating that SketchUp model right-quick.

i should HOPE they wouldn’t be dumb enough to try it again anyway. But then, the way Merrick was throwing the words “round 2” around, who knows?
Dwah!!! Not another flashback… oh well I’m happy to have something to read! Keep on going!

Maybe Tess was trying to get there before the SSI to warn her
