Crestfallen history! I’ve been curious about “the seven witching families” for years now.

    Makes me think a tad.
If yee old witches were so powerful, why wern’t the governments of the day enlisting them (forcefully or otherwise) into the military?
Even if they could physically make them fight as living weapons, surely they’d just need to walk in with some manipulative G-man and soon they’d have their own walking talking A-bombs!
    But I digress…

Also, Joe ‘Machine Gun’ Huff needs MOAR explaining. No one that awesome sounding can just be given one small pic and be over with.

Ooooooooh I loves me some history. The Witch battle sounds insane to see, it kinda reminds me of Weathertop.

Also more on Machine Gun Huff please.

…I have decided to rename Mr. Without-end “Monsignor Henna-Eyes”. I will admit to some curiosity on what warrants a mention and a creepy zoom-in-on-the-eyes-of Mr. Toome, however.

I always kinda wondered where Crestfallen was.

what does this have to do with the previous page…
it seems kinda choppy, but it’s good.

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and guess that whoever was talking to Sera in the first couple pages was Charles-Without-End. ‘Cause there’s no way that the original Crestfallen inhabitants completely wiped themselves out, and both Charles and Sera’s mysterious mentor have funky tattoos around their eyes.

…I’m actually kind of surprised Mr. A has decided to make the motives of the antagonist-apparent so immediately obvious.

Charles-Without-End or someone related to him, was obviously talking to Sera in the beginning.

Gahh, you’re gonna drive us nuts with the mystery now, Mr. A.

BTW, if folks want me to return to the forums, they’ll have to make it so I can no longer read a book in the time it takes for each page on the site to load.

Aw, I thought we had the slowness thing all sorted out now… There haven’t been any complaints since I cut all the image sizes in half and had Dreamhost move me to a less crowded server. That was over a month ago.

Not sure what more I can do at this point. Anybody else still having problems (that can’t, y’know, be traced to your own slow computer/network/whatever), or is it just Relenz?

BTW, Relenz, did it ever occur to you that you might BENEFIT from reading a few extra books while waiting for my site to load? That copy of Ulysses isn’t going to read itself, you know.

*drools profusely on the page* – by the by – – my computer loads the page very nicely ~ though I know I could use with some more reading – I do agree with the comment about what does this have to do with the last page, but I know I’ll just have to WAIT! *cry!*

Ah, but I read Ulysses in elementary school…It probably is my network, I’ll see what can be done on my end of the tube.

…yes, singular, tube. It’s a very bad network, you see.

On an unrelated note, the pocketwatch tempts me with cliffhanger-y goodness. Was it a conscious choice to have a hook at the end of every page this time around?

It wasn’t really a conscious choice, no (I’m not sure every page IS a cliffhanger, technically). I do remember reading somewhere that the last panel of every comic page should give the reader a good reason to turn the page, so maybe that’s affecting me subconsciously. Seems like a good idea for a weekly webcomic, anyway…

If I were to tell the whole truth I don’t like where this page is placed in the comic. I think this should be the first page, or the beginning of a chapter. But that’s just me!

Otherwise, yeah good as always…but I say that for every page, haha.

    Whuh-oh.

I just noticed a spelling error on this page. the second mention of the filthy english is missing its H. Should I send an email, or was it intentional?
