“Oh my GOD>/b> she’s using my monsters!”
“A few” is the number of instances that such scenario has befallen me. Last time someone used my monsters a town got destroyed. ‘Course cos they were my monsters, guess whose door the police came a knocking on?
An upcoming Vicious Whisper album eh? Just trying to figure out the approximate time-frame between what’s transpiring here and when the VW album was delayed in the first issue of Serenity Rose. Is it the same album I wonder? If not, pretty prolific bunch of sonic architects, aren’t they?
I was thinking about that too, maybe Vicious had a secretly creative backlash? Would be intresting to figure some sort of personal problems for V. So far she has been a very happy and care free sort of girl. Will a new V less friendly side of V come up?
That is sort of been what I’ve been guessing at for this volume.. Maybe V isn’t as super happy perfect as Sera thinks she is. Sooooo interested in finding out 😀
Thanks alphatroll, for ze info. I ought to have checked up on the previously mentioned VW album-release time-frame myself really, instead of being dilatory about doing so.
I also really ought to have double-checked the HTML tags I used in my previous comment prior to posting it.
Sera, concentrates until: “OMG! She’s using my monsters!”
Some guy still floating: “Woooo! Vicious I lov–What the? HOLY CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaa…” falling down
Ms V having her own demons or not may be just some plot enhancer. Is the use of Sera’s monsters simply a strong nudge from V to Sera that it’s time to “grow up”. That the monsters of child-teen-young adult-hood can, and should, be left behind. After all what’s the title of this song from the forth coming album, Childhood’s End!
Oh dear am I getting to introspective here…..sorry
We’ve always assumed that V is the one helping ang guiding Sera, but maybe it’s the other way around? Perhaps V had faalen into a bit of a funk before Ms. Rose arrived, and helping the younger witch out with her problems has in turn helped Viscious get over her own stagnation and inspired ehr to make more mind-blowing music?
Love the inclusion of Sera’s dolls from the last volume, too.
This very much could be… obviously we haven’t seen as much of Vicious’s side of things, but we know she went from “Album Delayed” in the first issue, to planning to tour with Sera at the end of the first book, to now friendship and apprenticeship and cooperative witchery in concert. Interesting….. I definitely expect that the relationship between Sera and Vicious will be fleshed out significantly this volume, and turn out to not be anything like as one-sided as Sera probably thinks it is.
I’m wondering if at some point Sera is going to do something musically… because this might show her opening up from her usual lonely kinda sociaphobic self to someone more open and outgoing (the person vicious wants her to be), becuase music is a art that is defiantly public and open and outgoing, whereas drawing and art is one more personal and secluded.
She probably is going to do something . But I hope it will be something related to drawing, she does after all draw this comic herself as a diary. and the Humbly comic in volym 1. She also mentioned before that she has been thinking of drawing a childrens book.
I always thought that Sera was more of a visual arts person than musically talented. That’s why Rivet Head and co. took an interest in her in the first volume, so that her creativity could breath new life into an outdated show. I think she’d be more likely to have an art show than put on a concert, but maybe she’ll end up handling the visual side of things (sets, costumes, props, etc.) for V’s new tour?
OOH, yes – that would be very cool.
Like, she could do something concerning the arty things in the show, like the airplanes in this and the butterflies and buildings and such.
The look of pure horror on Sera’s lil’ face there is perfect.
Um, is that good or bad Sera?

Time frame’s less than a year. Issue #1 was November 1st, vol. 2 took place in January, and Sera’s last Dear Diaries Are Stupid entry said July.

Ha, this is what I envisioned too. Don’t drop the audience, Sera!
And that, Vicious, is why you should always ask for permission before using copyrighted monsters.
(May I say, in an entirely off-topic way, that your username is wonderful. I love that book, and do smile to see it referenced 😀 )

“…and so that’s when I dropped everyone.
Sigh.”
